Memorial Day: Honoring Our Brave

Image
Memorial Day is a special day to remember and honor those brave soldiers who gave the ultimate sacrifice, so all of us could continue to live in freedom and liberty. From Normandy to Vietnam to Korea to Iwo Jima and numerous other battlefields throughout the world, our finest soldiers fought against the evils of fascism and communism to help preserve our security and give others the hope of living in freedom. Freedom isn't free my friends, and it comes with a price. The soldiers we honor today, hopefully remind us of that, as our republic continues to bend and crack in these tumultuous times. As you embark on celebrating this holiday, I would ask you to take a few moments to honor and remember these brave men and women, and thank God that such people lived. Without these folks, our republic may have succumbed to fascism or communism. The battles we have yet had to fight, are on the horizon, and they loom large. We will need to summon that same honor and courage and duty to fig

While You Were Asleep

Image
At some point in time over the last several years, you fell asleep. You didn't mean to, but you became weary and exhausted. Who could really fault you? It happened to most of us if we are honest with ourselves. We all got lost in our own lives and became oblivious to the rest of the country and the world. We are human, and we all have faults. Now, you are slowly waking up from your deep sleep, and wondering what has happened to America. You don't recognize the country you grew up in? Well, let me tell you what happened while you were asleep my friend. While you were asleep, a vocal minority steamrolled their progressive liberal ideology through a sleeping silent majority. They did so in various ways, my friend. Through numerous lawsuits and activist judges ruling in their favor, through a liberal Democrat President of the United States issuing executive orders, and through legislation in various states and municipalities throughout our republic. Yes my friend, Congress fel

An Open Letter To President Obama

Image
Dear President Obama, In your commencement address you delivered on Sunday, May 15th, 2016, to the graduating class at Rutgers University, you made a statement that is quite disingenuous. You said, and I quote:  "In fact, by almost every measure, America is better and the world is better than it was 50 years ago or 30 years ago or even eight years ago." Now, I do understand that your worldview and my worldview are vastly different, but let's put that aside for the moment and just examine your statement in a fair and balanced analysis. Just the facts, Mr. President. No spin. I will begin with the Iranian Nuclear Deal that you and your administration negotiated. Just this deal alone has made America and the world much more unsafe and worse off than eight years ago.  By allowing Iran access to billions of dollars and appeasing a nation that has continually called America, "The Great Satan", you have allowed them to funnel that money into continuing their nu

Israel: Our Vital Friend In The Middle East

Image
On May 14th, 1948, Israel became a country. It is roughly the size of New Jersey with about eight million people. It sits precariously among several Arab and Muslim dominated countries. It is a parliamentary democracy and remains the sole democracy in the Middle East. They have consistently sided with the United States and have been a staunch ally from the start. In recent years, that relationship between America and Israel has been seriously strained, with the Obama Administration winding up at odds with Israel on several fronts. So what makes this tiny country so very vital to America? First of all, it is their location. As you look at the map, it becomes quite obvious Israel is strategically vital to American security interests. With Iraq and Iran in their neighborhood, as well as, Syria, Israel is in the middle of a powder keg. One of the areas Israel has had extreme differences with the Obama Administration on, has been the Nuclear Deal with Iran.  Allowing Iran to obtain

Climate Change: Discovering The Real Agenda Behind This Modern-Day Fairy Tale

Image
Most of us can probably recall reading fairy tales as we were growing up. They drew us in with their farfetched storylines and magical characters and kept us enthralled. Our modern-day fairy tale is climate change and it is one of farfetched claims as well. It continues to be spread as factual and supported by an overwhelming consensus of scientists and scholars. However, as with most amazing stories, there is very little truth and fact, and a whole lot of fantasy and exaggeration. So the truth must be told and this fairy tale exposed for the hidden agenda that continues to drive it. There are a multitude of myths and outright lies about climate change that continue to be spread by the media and the left. This piece could go on for several pages listing each one and dismissing them with the truth. Needless to say, let's just mention a few. The fact is that weather satellites haven't measured any increase in global temperatures over the last eighteen years. Carbon

An Uncertain America

Image
Over the last seven years, if you had to come up with just one word to sum up the American mood, it would be the word uncertain. From workers to business owners to those unemployed and searching for work, uncertainty is the prevailing sentiment throughout our republic. That mood puts a wet blanket on our sputtering economy and it isn't likely to change soon. So what exactly makes most people uncertain about the current situation we find ourselves in? First of all, the economy isn't booming and hasn't really recovered from the recession of 2008. The GDP numbers over the last four quarters, show a downward trend from a 3.9% annual growth rate the second quarter of 2015 to just a .5% annual growth rate the first quarter of 2016. Consumers feel this uncertainty and aren't spending money on big-ticket items, thus pinching their pennies and saving money in case of economic hardships. More people are living paycheck to paycheck these days, as food, healthcare, and energy pri
