A Bitter Deal Versus A Raw Deal

Image
Choices. Life is all about choices. God gives us free will to pick and choose how we want to live. Most choices we face are mundane. White bread or wheat? Coke or water? In the short term there isn't much of a real consequence. In the long term there might be more severe consequences. Coke may taste better than water and be quite thirst quenching but it can rot out your stomach lining and teeth over years of drinking it. Every choice has a certain consequence that goes with it be it positive or negative. Some choices are very clear and distinct while others are more difficult and blurred. Same goes for elections and who we choose to vote for. With the midterms this November there will be a choice between a bitter deal or a raw deal. If you choose to cast your vote for Democratic Party candidates and a "Blue Wave" sweeps across our republic ushering in a Democrat controlled United States House and Senate then you will have opted for a bitter deal. Living In A Prison Of The Mind

As Mrs. Clinton makes her rounds giving continuous speeches and commencement addresses over the last year and a half it becomes quite clear she is a tortured soul. Speaking to Yale University's graduating class several days ago she said she's "still not over" losing to President Trump in the 2016 election. "I remember the first months after that ...

A Broken People And A Broken System

One would be hard pressed to find a time in our brief history of existence where our republic was in greater danger of being destroyed. Yes, you could definitely argue that during the Civil War era our country was close to coming apart at the seams. That is a fair argument and the only one that can be cited and compared to our current precarious situation in which we sit. In a strange way, we are in a new civil war. An ideological civil war pitting self-government and self-reliance against the tyranny of a massive out-of-control central government. The American people have become slaves to the federal government. They have grown more and more dependent on the government taking care of them from the cradle to the grave. But this isn't what our founding fathers fought so hard to build. They fought to escape the chains of tyranny and oppression and establish a republic built on everyone having a right to pursue life, liberty, and happiness in whichever way they saw fit. Unfortuna...
