When The Thought Police Come Calling

Image
The thought police are alive and well and coming to your house, if you are a conservative thinker that is. Twitter decided to use their iron fist after the U.S. Capitol events to begin purging conservative accounts on their social media platform. Google and Apple decided to ban Parler from their app download stores on smartphones. Yes, Big Tech wants everyone to know they are the enforcers of what constitutes legitimate thought and what is deemed hate speech. Welcome to George Orwell's "1984". He should have entitled it, "2021".  This should send chills down your spine. Some will say these are businesses and thus they are allowed to choose who is on their various platforms. It's not a free speech issue they say and it doesn't bother them at all. While Twitter and Facebook are perfectly free to purge their users under their user agreements it should be a warning of what is to come. Remember Big Tech companies control much of the internet. These platform...

The Real Conversation Democrats Don't Want To Have

Image
After a week of listening to the talking heads and politicians bloviating on more gun laws, gun buyback programs, red-flag laws, and further curtailing the Second Amendment it has become crystal clear that we have the same conversations everytime there is a mass-shooting in our republic. We never truly have serious conversations about guns and gun violence. This latest massacre is all about politics and using President Trump, the NRA, and "white supremacists" as the boogeymen by Democrats to gain votes and power in the 2020 elections. You can't blame them for trying to deflect from the real conversation they don't wish to have. That real conversation should be about the moral decay in our republic and how moral relativism has led us to this point. How Democrats and the left have played a key role in aiding and abetting this moral decay over the last fifty years. When you continue to push God further and further away through a virulent and consistent messaging and...

The Interesting Quandary For Democrats And Biden

Image
The Democrats have a dilemma. Joe Biden leads the polls for the Democratic Party presidential nomination as he officially announces his candidacy. The barrage of attacks already began even before he officially put his hat in the ring. When you are perceived as the leader the long knives usually come out. The issues revolve around Biden being just a tad too friendly and invasive around women and little girls. Those pictures and video clips have been around for years now but recently a few women have come forward to the press to highlight their own uncomfortable experiences around Joe. But Biden has much deeper problems than being too friendly with his hands and mouth. The deeper problems involve pay-for-play and obstruction of justice. As journalist Peter Schweizer has highlighted in his book, "Secret Empires: How The American Political Class Hides Corruption and Enriches Family and Friends," Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, have some serious questions to answer invol...

The Left's Fiery Pit Of Hell

Image
"This is not a job interview. This is Hell. This is the most unethical sham I have ever seen in politics. And if you really wanted to know the truth, you sure as hell wouldn't have done what you've done to this guy...Boy, y'all want power. God, I hope you never get it." ~ Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) Brett Kavanaugh expected a tough time facing off against Democrats in his confirmation hearings. One of the duties of the U.S. Senate is to give advice and consent on Supreme Court nominations. Article II, Section II of the Constitution states that the President of the United States "shall nominate, and by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, shall appoint ambassadors, other public ministers and consuls, judges of the Supreme Court, and all other officers of the United States whose appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by law." It does not state anywhere in the Constitution that those nominees be su...

A Bitter Deal Versus A Raw Deal

Image
Choices. Life is all about choices. God gives us free will to pick and choose how we want to live. Most choices we face are mundane. White bread or wheat? Coke or water? In the short term there isn't much of a real consequence. In the long term there might be more severe consequences. Coke may taste better than water and be quite thirst quenching but it can rot out your stomach lining and teeth over years of drinking it. Every choice has a certain consequence that goes with it be it positive or negative. Some choices are very clear and distinct while others are more difficult and blurred. Same goes for elections and who we choose to vote for. With the midterms this November there will be a choice between a bitter deal or a raw deal. If you choose to cast your vote for Democratic Party candidates and a "Blue Wave" sweeps across our republic ushering in a Democrat controlled United States House and Senate then you will have opted for a bitter deal. They will more than...

What Is The Democrats Endgame?

Image
President Trump has been in office now for just over a year and we have heard the same mantra from the Democrats. That narrative is a game of "Blame and Shame". Your game show hosts are a general mix of ne'er-do-wells from the somewhat lucid Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi to the more mentally unstable Maxine Waters. It involves such shaming as calling Mr. Trump mentally unstable, unfit for office, colluding with Russia, an illegitimate president, a general obstructionist of justice, a sexual predator, and lest we forget to mention, the new Hitler. Yes, the Democrats are not lacking in their creativity skills. But what is their endgame? Surely, they can't think this game of blame and shame will get them back in power? History says that the Democrats do have a good chance of gaining seats and momentum in the midterm elections. History is usually a good guide and most bettors in Vegas look for trends. Midterms tend to bring much lower voter turnout than presidential...

The Murky Swamp Of Washington

Image
When voters from "Fly Over Country" came out of the woodwork last November to cast a ballot for Donald Trump and a change of course, little did they realize how murky and dangerous the swamp in Washington DC really was. They knew that Mr. Trump would more than likely hit some fierce opposition from the Democrats and maybe some of the establishment Republicans would bellow a bit but nobody could forsee this mess we are now wading through. It has become high political theatre and the media has kept it fully charged and continued to stoke the flames of discord and resistance. Through all the drama one thing is perfectly clear. The Democrats have been effective in stalling and obstructing any legislation to change course. With a special counsel now being named to head up an independent review and investigation into the Russian hacking and collusion story, the Democrats have bought themselves more time to obstruct and stall. We are headed into summertime and the real chanc...

An Intricate Russian Game Or Something More Sinister?

Image
Most magicians will tell you that the real key to being successful is getting people to look one way long enough so you can use your sleight of hand to pull off your magic act. They will tell you that it is extremely important to control and direct your audience by capturing their attention and fostering a genuine interest. Barack Obama and the Democrats seem to have taken a page or two from the magician playbook. Over the last few months, you would be hard pressed not to have heard about the Russians hacking and meddling in the election. It seems everywhere you look these days there is another news story that continues to keep the American people focused on the Russians and their supposed ties to the Trump administration. It definitely makes for exciting and exhilarating news. But like a magic act, the real story is not where the magician is directing your attention, rather it is behind the scenes and in the darkness where the truth lies. For all the hype and media buzz, the trut...

How The Left Uses History To Undermine A Republic

Image
By now, most people have heard the liberals comparing President Trump to Adolf Hitler. One can assume this is due to Trump's immigration reform policies, his stance on Muslims and Muslim refugees, his ongoing conflicts with the mainstream media and print journalism, and his campaign slogan of "Make America Great Again". The more interesting analysis is why they would exactly do this. There are a couple reasons one can conclude for this. One reason would be they are not well-versed in German history and have just a cursory knowledge of NAZI Germany and thus don't honestly know the facts and truth of history. A second reason may be that they do have a full-fledged knowledge of the NAZI's and are just playing fast and loose with the truth and facts in order to paint a false narrative in the minds of Americans. With the dumbing down of America over the last several years through our failing education system, it is quite plausible that just incurring this image of H...

The Minimum Wage Myth

Image
If you have watched the news at any point over the last year or so you surely have seen the mass rallies in various big cities throughout America. The rallies have consistently been large and boisterous as workers cry out for an increase in the minimum wage or a decent living wage. Most have been calling for at least a $15 per hour minimum wage. That is more than double the current federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour. The claim from the progressive liberals is that workers just can't support a family with that paltry minimum wage. So what are the facts? According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there are roughly 3.6 million workers at or below minimum wage in America. Of those workers, 31% are teens and 55% are 25 years old and below. That leaves roughly 1% of all minimum wage workers over 25 years old. So we are truly talking about a very minute fraction of the country here. The BLS reports 63% of workers who earn less than $9.50 per hour are second and third wage earne...
